I have been a UI developer for almost 14 years and all these years I have never created a personal website for my own. Finally the day has come where I am putting up my website.

I started off my career when tables were used for everything in a webpage. A few years back I worked for a company called Mondera, who wanted their website to be a table less website (yes that's the word they used). It's when I started doing this that I came across CSS Zen Garden, Jeffrey Zeldman websites and his articles on web standards and how to separate structure from presentation.

It was when I joined McAfee that I completely got the grasp of semantic coding and web standards, mainly due to Steve Ganz and Francisco Niebres. Steve Ganz has so much passion and zeal towards web standards and semantic coding that’s its very contagious, you can’t help getting dragged into the world of web standards and semantic coding, suddenly all the HTML elements made sense, I started using headers tags (h1-h6) to mark up headers, started using ordered and unordered list to mark up lists instead of nested tables and it all made so much more sense.

I have been a freelance developer from December 2009, some of the Jobs I have completed are The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Center for Herpetology, Growers Corner , Food 2050, Pesticide Information, Illegal Pesticide, Green Recruitment, Expicient etc.
